當以言入罪變成常態，言論被控制，繼而思想、回憶等，我們可以做的，就是好好保存和記錄我們的記憶和思想，讓歷史和真相繁衍流傳下去。

近日在讀經典書籍 #1984，當中描述似曾相識，甚有啟示：
極權總希望對人民有全力監控和掌握，不止歷史、言論自由等，而是以致思想。要達至這種程度的手段有很多，例如書中提到嘅全天候影像、聲音監控、經濟操控、思想操控、搵偽君子扮同路人誘使招認、獄中皮肉之苦等等。哩本似是讓人絕望嘅書籍，於我來說卻又帶點希望： // Out of those mighty loins a race of conscious beings must one day come. You were the dead, theirs was the future. But you could share in that future if you kept alive the mind as they kept alive the body, and passed on the secret doctrine that two plus two make four. //
// ..But it was evidence. It might have planted a few doubts here and there, supposing that I’d dared to show it to anybody. I don’t imagine that we can alter anything in our own lifetime. But one can imagine little knots of resistance springing up here and there—small groups of people banding themselves together, and gradually growing, and even leaving a few records behind, so that the next generations can carry on where we leave off.//
// You will have to get used to living without results and without hope. You will work for a while, you will be caught, you will confess, and then you will die. Those are the only results that you will ever see. There is no possibility that any perceptible change will happen within our own lifetime. We are the dead. Our only true life is in the future. We shall take part in it as handfuls of dust and splinters of bone. But how far away that future may be, there is no knowing. It might be a thousand years. At present nothing is possible except to extend the area of sanity little by little. We cannot act collectively. We can only spread our knowledge outwards from individual to individual, generation after generation. In the face of the Thought Police there is no other way //
// It’s the one thing they can’t do. They can make you say anything—ANYTHING—but they can’t make you believe it. They can’t get inside you //
// With all their cleverness they had never mastered the secret of finding out what another human being was thinking //
